Magical Battler - Chapter 7

And here we go again!
On this version I did a rework on some internal things about how images are shown, I think they are all fixed, but I might have missed some, so please let me know if you get a missing image error.
(Itch.io where I usually post my games once finished has a hard limit of 1000 files and I was dangerously reaching that number, so I had to find ways to lower the file number by keeping all the content).

This post here explains how to export and import save files. Please be careful when using this, since you can lose save files if you are not careful.
Some help with the controls: Controls:
The game can be played with:
Keyboard:
Use arrows to move and enter to interact. Escape will open the menu and cancel. Alternatively, Z can be used for interactions and X for opening the menu and cancelling.
Note: If at some point using the Heal skill, the target selection is stuck in a character, it probably is because the mouse is highlighting that character. Moving the mouse cursor away from the characters should fix it.
Mouse:
Click where you want the character to go or what you want to interact with. Use the other mouse button to open the menu and for cancelling. Note: Menus are enhanced for keyboard, so clicking an option will highlight first. If the option is highlighted, clicking it will select it.
Gamepad:
The game should support a gamepad in Chrome browser at least. The A button will interact and accept. The Y button will open the menu. The B button will cancel.
For mobile:
Just touch where you want the character to go and what you want to interact with. Important: Touch with TWO fingers to open the menu and cancel.
Notes: Touching a menu item will highlight it. If the item is already highlighted, touching it again will select it. You might also want to set the phone in landscape mode and go to the games options and pick fullscreen.

Here is a guide on how to backup saves: https://www.patreon.com/posts/magical-battler-45489840 It explains how to import a save game from the public version (on itch.io) to the private one. Let me know if you have any issues.

I have played the game in itch.io for a few time, can I use the data from the same game in itch, I don't really want to play twice or more times. Hope you can offer me a great solution.

If it's of any help, the guide tells you where to find the items you might need. Especially since I'm still working on the game, and adding new stuff to old rooms might happen at some point.

Sorry. I'm sure there will be more of Luke in the future, but I haven't got around to him yet (there are so many NPCs) I'm happy to know you are enjoying the game so far.

I was slightly disappointed not to see more of hunk Luke but Zane made up for it and even more :) you are such sweet tooth, I somehow ended up with sweet dick after playing this round (the donuts in my kitchen started screaming when I found yet another piece of cake) :) Thank you!

Thanks for the nice words. Technically all companions care a lot about their partners. I wanted to showcase that Ralph as a himbo, and Waffles being smarter than him. It wasn't my intention for Waffles to come of as mean, as much as a bit frustrated that Ralph takes too long to catch up, but I'm not that good at implying stuff XD I do have several spreadsheets with lists of NPCs and details about them that I try to complete and flesh out as the game advances. As well as a list of all the chapters the game will probably have, and the locations that each chapter features. These are subject to change, but they help me minimise the amount of stuff I forget.

Steve's partner being a Jerk with a Heart of Gold is a perfect fit for the misguided pair, but Ralph's always seems slightly too mean to be on the good side. Which is... interesting. Hoping to see more of those transformations, too. On a more ~technical note, the amount of content per chapter has been pretty good. And, damn, the game seems to be getting a lot bigger than I was expecting (considering the story, NPC interactions with the protagonists and amongst themselves, developments of previous locations, etc.).
