A new idea for weekly story
🕑 Added 2017-06-15 22:23:37 +0000 UTC This would not replace my weekly story format completely by any means, but I thought it might help attract Patreon members and might be more fun for the members I already have. Basically I would take one of the ideas I've been mulling for a CHYOA story and then start it on the CHYOA website with a link to my patreon. Then every week (maybe more than once some weeks) my beloved patrons would get to vote on a series of branching choices for a character, basically guiding the narrative.What do you think?

I appreciate the feedback. Give it a chance. If it's not working out, I can just switch back to 100% stories. Since there are so few of you guys I think you will have a lot of power to pick paths, but I won't telegraph what exactly will happen if you do pick that path too much.

I'm usually not a fan of those. Mainly because when you let people guide the story, the choices they'll make are usually very predictable. I mean, there is a reason why you're a writer and we just readers, right? I also like being surprised when reading, and when I see the pool results beforehand (or even just the available choices), that would take away from the story I'm reading. I'm not saying it can't be done well tho'. Looking forward to see it.

Nah, I think I've made up my mind, I'm doing it, but you folks will still get to vote on which of my ideas I turn into a new CHYOA story.
