Thank you for sharing your story about your childhood Angela. I really enjoyed reading about your background and your experiences growing up in Romania. You have been exposed to many different cultures and rich traditions and that makes great memories and stories to tell. It reminds me of my own childhood. Each place and country that we get to live in and experience, changes us a little or sometimes a lot and leaves a mark on our being and I think that's a privilege. I for one am very grateful. I am very much looking forward hearing more from you. Happy New Year and all the best to you three. Stay warm.

Angela, thank you for opening our eyes to how Christmas is experienced in all the countries where you have lived. It's been so interesting. I am rather late reading your blog, but do appreciate your involvement in this way. You are a superb writer! I trust you are knee-deep in snow now, and wish you, Daniel and Juno a happy and exciting New Year.

Thank you very much Angela for taking (so much!) time to write such an interesting & informative blog. I lived in Germany for many years & your description took me right back to the sights & smells of the Christmas markets there! It’s great to hear how you’re settling down in your new Finnish home land & adapting to another completely new way of life! I sincerely wish you & Daniel & wee Juno a wonderful 2024 full of many happy moments & good health to enjoy them. Peace & love from the north coast of Ireland - ☘️🕊️☘️💚🤗

Thank you for sharing some on your old Christmas memories Angela. And I hope you feel very welcomed in Finland. You both have a positive and adventurous spirit and that will really be appreciated in Finland. All the best to you and Daniel and little Juno in your new adventure. So much good honest work ahead but we already know you guys are not afraid of work!

Really enjoying reading your Blog. It is so lovely to hear your different perspective to life there. Wishing you all an exciting and enjoyable 2024 x

Dear Angela and Daniel and little Juno: Merry Christmas! Can't wait to hear about Finnish New Year's customs. All the very best to you all !🤍🤍🤍

dear Angela and Daniel, thanks so much for sharing your latest posts which were a joy to read/watch on a quiet St. Stephen's Day. Can just imagine you in your snowy new home in Finland, with your big christmas tree and mice and mumins dancing around it ;-) Happy new year to you and to little Juno, I bet it will be an exciting one. PS just being curious (I hope you don't mind) about what happened to Mossy Bottom.

Dear Angela, It's really nice to get to know you a little through your blog! I've been following Daniel's self-sufficiency journey for a while now and was delighted to learn that he has found his soulmate (at least you look like soulmates to me :)). I grew up and studied in Berlin myself, so I can relate to some of what you're sharing about your experiences there and the Christmas markets are truly enchanting! After having practised growing fruit and vegetables for a few years in beautiful rural Brandenburg, my husband and I will be moving to Ireland in less than 8 weeks!!! I´m sooo exited! I don't think we'll be living too far from your old property, in the south of Co Sligo. I have been hopelessly in love with Ireland for as long as I can remember. I would have loved to have met you guys there.... but at the same time I admire your courage to move on when your circumstances require it. I wish you all the best for your new adventures and a wonderful Christmas! Much love to you, Daniel & Juno! Iona

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to your family, love from rainy Ireland. 😄 Looking forward to seeing what’s to come in 2024 and hoping it’s a good one for yous.

Really enjoying your blog, Angela. Fascinating to hear about all your different Christmases. I'm definitely going to be trying gingerbread and blue cheese this year! Hope the snow comes back, and the three of you have a very happy first Christmas in Finland.

Thank you for sharing your Christmas traditions and memories. Christmas Peace will be announced in Turku on Christmas Even at noon, you can see it on the television, or it might be a nice new Christmas tradition for you to consider starting and experience it in person at the Cathedral Square in Turku.

Again, delightful! Your Christmas experiences are magical and toss me back to my childhood days enjoying presents having been sent to us in Beirut, Lebanon, or to us during our three year stay in Baghdad, Iraq, back in the '50's. Yup, nothing better than for the postman to deliver BIG packages of goodies sent to us from the family ranch in Wyoming, US. Now that I'm 80 (I can't believe I am THAT old) I still can feel the magic through your words---and I thank you.

This is so lovely. It’s like I can see your personality in-between the lines. Thank you for sharing the highlights and lowlights of your Christmas’s past, and present! Will look forward to to your next blog. Warm and happy wishes to your family from mine for the new year!
