Quick Update
🕑 Added 2021-04-19 17:06:35 +0000 UTCThanks for all your support so far! I don't want to radio silence for too long, especially so early and before we've established a consistent schedule so i'll give a quick update here.
-Work on the comic continues. The art director had the script for chapter 2 and 3 a day or two before the video came out so rest assured she'll be getting on with that as the month progresses.
I thought I might need to rewrite some sections before she started based on how the comic was received but I only got 3 negative comments on writing with no pattern between them. So my writing will just continue as planned until I have more data.
-We're also currently looking into new hires and making edits to our production model based on what we learnt from producing the first chapter and what few comments we have.
Some of the art is rough around the edges. We hope to fix that with a storyboard editor that should allow the art director to concentrate on clarity and shot composition while the storyboard editor keeps things on model.
-As for me, I had planned to get back to some normal videos but unfortunately the video for this project bombed in the algorithm. Only got to 20k views when before I could guarantee at least 40k. (I think the streams I did may have affected my views)
We absolutely could have hit our goal with more views given the reception to the video and patreon.
As a result, I'll be spending the next couple of days trying to get the video going. From past experience I'm either going to need more external clicks or to change up the title and tags. Both of which I have my techniques for.
Once I'm done, I'll return to videos and streaming.

I usually see all the comments regardless, so here is fine. And thanks for the feedback. That's definitely been the most consistent criticism and the main thing we're working to fix. I was running a fine line in production between being a perfectionist and not getting bogged down in unnecessary changes. Now that I definitely know I wasn't imagining some of the issues i'll be requesting edits on future panels I think will a be a problem for clarity.

To tell the truth I don't know where I can submit feedback regarding comics. In general I liked the story but layout and progression from panel to panel needs some work.
I actually wasn't super sure how much feedback you were looking for on the comic, I'll definitely make sure to give some feedback on the project once the next chapter is out. Best of luck boosting the video, I've already shared it in the few social circles I operate in.
Still, $700 based on 20k ain't bad. It's more than I get on YouTube. :D Not sure what I could do for you besides the donation, but if you have anything you might need help with, I'm happy to oblige.

Thanks for the update! I found it fascinating that your second video was taking off more. Maybe try reddit for your first vid advertising? And to get more comic comments/feedback, possibly do a video reading? It's public domain, so. Good Luck!
