But I found the energy to explore the area. I didn’t even think about climbing one of the pipes (yes, I’m probably very boring without it), however, the place still turned out to be very interesting and exciting

Very interesting Anton seeing inside an abandoned coal fired power plant! I suspect the X-ray machine you guys saw is for examining the coal for ash and sulfur content which engineers need to know when the coal is ignited to see how much it will effect the furnace when ignited as that will wear it down over time.
