There seems to be a running theme here. With the exception of the first puzzle, any danger she was in was negligible, and the outcome would have been the same had she run headstrong into the obstacles or tried to avoid the traps altogether. Even with that first puzzle, if she stepped on the wrong tile and fell into a pit, she could have simply stretched her way back up.
