They're both rescues actually. My aunt found them both in the woods behind her house and took them in (about a year apart). But as she had too many cats herself, offered them to us. We were hesitant at first, but they've been such a lovely part of my life from start to finish. Charlotte seems to have some relatively normal cat behaviors, but Winston has some oddities about him (like being afraid of everything, and not being able to meow) that we're sure are due to him being found as a kitten in the wilderness freezing to death and starving. My babies. 🥰
