Ok ok, FIRST of all, Father Eli, I *am* completely soaked… Secondly, if you ever consider doing a sequel to this one, would you consider adding some language not about “purifying” desires or being “free from” them, but about liberating/accepting them and releasing the listener from shame? I’m a purity culture survivor and learning that desires are not necessarily something to get rid of was(is) pretty tough. All that said, there’s a lot in here that I really like. Being called “Angel” is sooooo nice. Referring to the stars as deities is sooooo hot. I remember “by the stars” and “stars, that feels good” from Lessons and I reeeeaaalllyyyy like it. Also I know the Church of the Stars is made up and probz no one else got hung up on imaginary theological queries. But because this piece is *so close* to being right for me, it feels really far. What’s the difference between being “free from” an urge and having that desire recognized/honored/shaken free from shame/FULFILLED, anyway‽ A LOT. I know my background and the fact that I now work in churches are the reasons why some of the phrases in this audio were a little triggering for me. This is not your fault, and I hope my suggestions are received as constructive criticism and aren’t out of line. If they are, please ignore/delete them. Thank you as always for everything 💜😻🐳
