The link do not work

Andrew Hackett

Has anyone used this system with PVC from Bunnings? Might be easier to just buy the pipe from Bunnings for the extender sections.

T_om

I see no "pinned" post. Why can't the link just be updated????? Can you post a link in the reply?

Patrick Ditmar

Its working for my letuce the problem is its has been raining like crazy here for the last 2 weeks. I am using the system outside. The rain gets inside very easily and dilutes the reservoir. Any chance you can design a rooftop to divert some of the rain water.

james brooks

how do i go able editing your design. i would like to make T and cross shape pieces that are loackable together

Mitchell Tomkins

Don’t share that link. Read the first pinned post for instructions

C Wheeler

look for folder latest releases

C Wheeler

I was finally able to download the files today now I have to figure out how to separate them into different files

Jesper Andersen

I have the same issue. Tried to DM, but no answer for a week 😞

C Wheeler

I tried to download but no luck I get an empty zip file

Colin_

Are these files missing intentionally? Thanks for the content and the STL's btw. They're wonderful keep up the good research.

TheMen

I'm looking for a printable hooch bucket for 110 mm round pipe, can you please help me?

Sebastian Grunow

Thank you for the quick response! 😊 I'm currently trying to adjust the mesh in blender, but that's easier said than done, especially with no real experience in 3D modeling. 😂😅 I'll try the sand paper "hotfix". Ah I'm printing on a cheap Anycubic Kobra Neo btw

Mitchell Tomkins

I don’t use that slicer. On bambulab slicer, stock print settings. No supports. Each part has a face that will print without supports or brim.

Mitchell Tomkins

Try running some sand paper over the pins as a brute force fix

Mitchell Tomkins

The prints are made with a 0.2mm-0.4mm tollerance. This leaves very little room for error with print settings with older printers but with newer printers (this was designed and tested on Bambu lab printers) the parts fit perfectly snug.

Sebastian Grunow

First of all, a big thanks for your great content and all the files you provide. This modular vertical system is the first one I actually wanted to try and print. I printed 3 parts at 100% scale. I had to separate them using blender, because the "mesh tools" extension for Cura made Cura ultra slow with this stl file. Now when I try to slide lock them into each other, they don't fit in. Anyone else with this problem? It seems the pin of the joint is too large. Anyone else experience this? Thank you for your support!

TheMen

What are the best settings for this print (Orca Slicer)? Do we need support?

Rui Lopes

Allways learning!

Mitchell Tomkins

This is no longer the latest file folder, have a look at the first pinned post for instructions

Counto_Cristo

Well done on the design! When I open the folder is says "Folder is Empty"?

Sean Moe

In general you want to look into performing these 3 things: 1. Extruder calibration 2. Extrusion percentage calibration 3. X/Y size calibration There are a lot of test prints you can download either on Thingiverse or Printables to help in performing these calibrations. There are also some YouTube videos you should be able to find to help as well. It can be a bit tedious but is well worth doing it. Happy printing!

Sean Moe

In PrusaSlicer you can import the SQL, right click on it and go to 'Split' -> 'To Objects'

Justin Dail

There's an addon in cura called mesh tools that lets you divide the parts.

z3r0c0oL

Hey everyone, I printed a few parts overnight and they all looked great except that they won't fit inside each other, I'm new to 3d printing what should I do to make it fit?

Rui Lopes

I used Freecad. Instructions: 1) Import file 2) Select "Mesh" in Workbench dropdown 3) Select file and click "split by components" 4) In Model Tab now appears all the components. Export the ones you want by right clicking and selecting "Export Mesh"

TheMen

How to break the parts In to individual parts for print?

Smarch

I posted on the facebook with a photo and you commented. Great job, printed extremely well for me with Elegoo Rapid PETG and Bambu PETG basic on both a bambu labs a1-mini and p1s. I preferred the full round trays based on your findings in the video and will direct sow my greens in the coco/perlite mix. I don't have scoria on hand, so I will try the leca just on the top layer to avoid the coco-hole. Thanks again for all you do.

Sean Moe

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Charlotte-Pipe-1-1-2-in-x-10-ft-ABS-DWV-Pipe/1000493201 O.D. 48.6 (+/- 0.3) I.D. 41 (+/- 0.4) I quickly drew this up in Fusion and will print out some test sizing pieces this weekend https://d.pr/i/I5abjN

Sean Moe

I mocked something up that works with some black ABS I had on the property but I will hit up Home Depot or Lowes to get you exact dimensions for this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/IPEX-1-5-in-x-10-ft-ABS-Cell-Core-Pipe-29-1510HD/309282454

Sean Moe

My bad, if anyone else is looking for it is in "Modular Hydroponic System v14.stl"

Mitchell Tomkins

Let me know what size pipe (exact dimensions) and I’ll make this happen.

Mitchell Tomkins

Nah this is completely new design from the ground up. It’s based on the moss pole designs.

Mitchell Tomkins

The modular files are in the link above.

Sean Moe

Can't wait to get this printed and give it a shot! I'm new to the hydroponic community but have a small rain gutter system going and am looking to expand all thanks to your videos and showing your trials and errors! Can't wait to get ahold of these files!

Sean Moe

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the video! Came on here to download the STLs to remix it and make it happen but I don't see the files in the latest dropbox link :(

Ely Gordon

I have been waiting for this! So excited to try it out. Just watching the video now. It looks like you’ve address all the issues with the common modular towers. Brilliance once again from Hoocho

Marcus Jenkins

It would be really cool if you could cut sections of cheap drainpipe for those narrower vertical sections rather than use the slow-to-print and more expensive way of making tubes with a 3D printer...

Marcus Jenkins

Looks like a nice saving in filament compared to the equivalent of the now-deleted modular tower from Thingiverse - but still getting some decent vertical separation between tiers. Good jo-o-ob! Is the bayonet compatible with the old Thingiverse design?

Johnny

Good stuff Hooch!👌🏽
