Catbirds!

Hahaha, I think it's just a matter of time before every kid stumbles onto a swear word. And if they get a reaction out of it, get ready to hear it a lot.

False Knees

Haha, valid question!

False Knees

That is perfect!!

False Knees

I love them too. Most often heard than seen!

False Knees

Hahaha!

False Knees

Haha, sort of creepy

False Knees

Haha! "Quack" is just about as good of an approximation of their vocalizations as "duck", really

My younger sister used to like to say variations on names of people she met. One time at a party he was repeating a family friend named billy buck and said “billy buck, ..., filly f*ck”. People could not stop laughing and she could not figure out why until many years later

When my friend told her five year-old Mommy was pregnant, he asked her “How do you know?”

"Potty mouth training"

I cannot remember any funny conversations I've had with a baby, it's been a very long time. But I do have a punny name:

I LOVE CATBIRDS SO MUCH THANK YOU FOR THIS

I had a kid at work who was eight say to his friends "what if life is a dream and when you die you have a different dream?". That was an existential crisis I didn't need.

False Knees

Hahaha that is a wonderful name for them!! I will adopt it too!

I used to volunteer taking care of kids at a kindergarten when I was 15, and there was this one kid whom always referred to himself in the third person which I thought was pretty funny. The first time I realised it was when we were playing with lego bricks and I came over and asked him "what are you building, Jason?" "Jason is building a gun. " Slightly taken aback, I thought there was another student named Jason for a second. "uh, you mean you're building a gun?" "Yes! Jason loves guns." Next moment the teacher came over and broke the lego gun because the kids weren't actually allowed to build things like that. But all in all that third person thing was pretty hilarious. I hope he grew out of it lol

And, the comic looks like the birds are cat calling. Or meowing for food. At least birds don't sit on your face when they are down to half a bowl. Grateful little shits.

When my daughter was younger we went into a greenhouse to frugally landscape our front yard. The birds basically deposit their leftover seeds that they decide we're beneath their fine pallettes, and I get weeds. My daughter was 5 and read the tag of one she said "what's a fricken violet?". African violet. To this day we still call them that. Also, apparently they learned this from me. I caught my guard off once and my son was asking me something, I didn't answer fast enough and he said to his sister "well, her ears must be f#&*ing broken."

When my brother was little, in the phase where kids are learning “the cow says moo” and “the pig says oink,” if you asked him what a duck says his response was always “duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck!” It was very cute, and because he was a stubborn toddler, no one could convince him that ducks said “quack,” no no, they say “duck duck duck...”
