Omg same at my place!! I switched bird feeders but when I had a bowl out, one of them (sparrow maybe? Something of that size) would sit directly in the middle and eat as if he was bathing in a fountain, flinging seeds everywhere. Made a huge mess but hilarious to watch.

I used to have parakeets and they constantly threw out the seeds they didn't like in their mix. They've passed on and I miss them, but not the mess

So like the English sparrows- flicking away good seed to the ground. Our Carolina chickadees agents as choosy, but quickly grab a fat seed and fly. Thanks so much for the laughs!
