🕑 Added 2020-10-10 20:16:58 +0000 UTCFinally, rain! Just a sprinkle here and there throughout this morning, but it was a tremendous help to put out our most recent fires. Feeling so safe and so ready for fall fun! Guess what else... don't tell my boyfriend, but... I am taking in two more rescue horses because of all your support! He thinks 13 is plenty. Butttt These two older mares were wild and purchased by someone who thought they could "break" them. Unfortunately, he ended up abusing them to a point where they are completely terrified of people, and won't let anyone near. They have been living in a little 20x40 corral for almost a year, no room to run, just the two of them. The conditions were awful, poop and urine making mud and deteriorating their hooves, which the farrier can't even address because they are wild. So this will be such a fun challenge for me to gentle them and prove that humans can have a purpose to horses.. and that purpose is pretty much always treats and belly itching. I know my place! Haha
Anyways, THANK YOU! You are saving lives and brining joy and spoilage to these equine angels!

Suzy, if you weren't already taken and I was 1/2 my age, I would be seriously trying to win your affection. We love all the same things. all the vintage look furnishings and clothes, records , and horses. When I was in high school my horse was my best friend.

While here I am in the Great Lakes with almost tranquil, comfortable weather through all of this. Although, like I said, with all the events that happened out by you, with all the hurricanes in the Gulf, one wonder what that'll mean for winter here in the Northeast/Midwest areas of the country. I might not want to find out.
