More Build Mode Items + Cozy Loft and Garden!

I hope you all enjoy these showcases, as we are planning to share new items for the Build Mode and the Paramaker periodically. We hope you will look forward to them!
The Loft
For this week, we have created a little colourful studio! It’s so cozy, I am kind of jealous.
Recently, I’ve been creating a lot of bedroom items that we were missing, such as the bedside tables, dressers and beds.
We also have a lot of new living room stuff, like new couches (which are all resizable 👀) and armchairs! We have a variety of designs now, so we are able to create rooms with more varied styles.
New prints were also created to add a bit more variety in the decor.
The Garden
Lastly, Léa and I did some work on plants. We have a pretty extensive list of plants to do, so we have a lot of work ahead of us.
A little garden scene featuring items we recently worked on, namely new flowers!
A sunflower field, perfect for the summer. Sunflowers are some of my favorite flowers, so I was super happy to get to create those.
Here’s a lineup of most of our vegetation items currently in the game.
That is it for this week’s showcase! There’s quite a bit we haven’t shown you, but that we might showcase next: washer/dryers, anyone?
So far, we have a little selection of most item types in the game. For the upcoming months, we aim to have a bit of every item type so we can test out animations and features for the live mode. I will also be focussing on creating more clutter/decor items in the upcoming weeks in order to have new things to furnish the rooms. We’re a bit tired of seeing the same monstera plant and duck planter, even though we like them!

I’m very interested: will the lighting for the inside stay like that? Like looking like the room is without a ceiling? What would be the visual differentiator to let the player know that a room is enclosed and not affected by weather?

Items and clothes are both beautiful and realistic so far. Hopefully clutter will be sorted into different categories so it's easier to find things when decorating, as having just one 'clutter' category with hundreds of items to scroll through is, well, cluttered.

My first reaction when I saw them switch from aiming for realism to their painterly style was, admittedly, disappointment. But I've learned to appreciate their style, that represents their work to create something new.

The artstyle is so adorable! Would it technically be possible to create some sort of autofill or brush for flowers, bushes, stones and so on to create a garden scenery without putting down every single and so on flower manually. Maybe through modding tool? Keep up your awesome work! <3

So, beautiful! Beyond expectations. I had a conversation with another female gamer, a long time ago, and we started talking about Paralives' unique look. We are used to The Sims and other games that attempt to flirt with reality (not redoing it exactly), in terms of textures, images, the look of the characters, and the environment. The idea has always been to redo reality in an interesting life-simulation way. Your game, looking at this and previous screenshots, flirts with reality in a lovely a bit of cartoonish and positive way. The woman I talked about Pralives, said she didn't like the look of the game, but I told her that it reminds me of some of those sweet little short movies you can find on YouTube, and she responded with "I haven't looked at it this way. It makes me rethink my views about it!". You are doing amazing work with this design and I sincerely hope that this beautiful, cartoonish-vibe, interface, etc. will come back to repay for all the heart, love, and hard work you invest in it. Can't wait to see how things will go!

I love the art style so much, I don't know if I'll get any actual game playing done, for sitting there and staring at the cozy home and furnishings or the cozy outdoor vibes, sitting on a park bench and listening to the cozy music!! LOL I can't wait for all of the things!

Will plants also be able to be edited in the same way as other objects? Such as changing color, height, width? Will it be possible to upload custom graphics to the images?

Wow great job on everything so far, I even love those peachy tones <3 As for washer/dryer, I think they do belong in game but, there truly should be an option to turn off/on animations for those who can't be bothered with laundry. In other words, one player might enjoy the full on experience as I do at times, but another player likes to play but feels the laundry can be a tedious frustration. But I think for purpose of realism, they do need to be in game.

I really enjoy the care that went into the graphics so far. The outdoor bench is spot on and I love sunflowers so this is a must in any game I play for sure

I hope a lot of care is put into creating very low-budget items and styles. All the beautiful things being shown off are incredible of course, but most simulation games sorely lack in the realm of options for representing an average person's environment. I want to be able to create a tiny, cramped 1 bedroom with a grubby old fridge, a creaky bed or maybe a simple box spring and mattress on the floor, junky decor I could have found on the side of the road, etc. My dream for this game is to start my Para out in a very poor and unappealing setting and have them work their way up.

Yes, one machine that does both! Though how good they are may vary. I had one before and it didn't quite dry as well as I hoped. Maybe mine was just not the best. :/ Oh well I have a laundry room and separate dryer now. Also, if not using a dryer, could we have an option to hang clothes inside as well as outside? Since it's so rainy here, I've hung clothes indoors pretty often.

Gosh those interiors are cute! I can see the vegetation is coming along nicely too, but I do feel like the leaves blend into each other a little too much. It's hard to see separate leaves when the colours are similar.

I love that round sofa chair thing!! I want one in real life. I also love the new flowers 🪻🌸🌷🌻 Just one question, are those apples hanging from that one tree? If so, they might be a little low-poly. I do love that bench though! Its juust big enough for two, but things look to get a bit more intimate 😏 Is the bench also resizable?

I looove it all as always! A small detail that id really enjoy seeing in especially sunflowers but maybe also some other flowers would be if the flower head followed the sun and gradually changed their direction during the day, and during autumn they would be more still when theyre meant to be ripe with seeds. I dont know if its doable, but it would add just that little bit of detail that would make a big difference to at least flower interested people! You guys are all doing amazing work!

I'm not a garden person but I like the new furniture. Is the box with all the slippers new ? It's adorable ! You mention that the couches are resizable. Are armchairs resizable, too ? Specifically I'm thinking of fat Paras who might appreciate furniture with more room ! What is the "rule" of what is resizable and what isn't, actually, would make for an interesting post in the future.

That studio is sooo cozy!! I love it!! And the flowers are amazing! I have never been good at building houses in Sims but I can redecorate the HELL out of something (and NEVER repost what I redecorate!). I cannot wait to use these amazing items to finally try my luck at creating my own cozy home.

One thing I'd like to suggest is making those tea cups and things usable. I'd love it if my paras could use the laptop and sip some tea or watch TV with a bowl of popcorn and a soda.

It's so lovely to see, and it's so clear that you guys have worked hard and have put a lot of love into these items. The only thing I'm really not a fan of is the apples, and personally, if the apples can't be improved, I'd rather the tree not have any apples at all.
