Halloween is truly my favorite time of the year and to celebrate that, I have the pleasure of showcasing some very... original items for the Paramaker and Build Mode!
They are guaranteed to leave an unforgettable impression with their unique design or the sense of terror that emanates from them.
In a cemetery, various skeletons lie alongside a Parafolk dressed as a modern-day vampire. Can you spot the other hidden Parafolk in this picture?
Check out this Halloween party taking place inside a manor, complete with spooky decor and Parafolks dressed for the occasion!
Paramaker
Seems like everyone has a plan for Halloween! Let’s have a closer look at the new funky items for the Paramaker, starting with the most disturbing character 🤡.
Here’s a close-up of the lady wearing clown makeup, a removable clown nose, and the earrings of an alien cow abduction. On the top left you can see a pumpkin hat that she wore to hide her makeup and on the bottom left her amazing ice cream heels.
Now let’s show a cuter costume for a change, one that perfectly blends in nature.

This amazing cowstume will be sure to attract all the attention to YOUR Parafolk!

And I know what you’re all wondering “Do they jiggle?”. The answer is an astounding YES, everything jiggles.

Another intriguing character is the vampire. While no gameplay involving vampires is planned for now, it’s still fun to dress your Parafolk as one!
The vampire wears blood bag earrings, a stitches necklace, vampire fangs and gloves that color only the fingertips.
Bet you didn’t see this one in the first screenshot of the post, right? With this costume, your Parafolk will blend into any party unnoticed!

Build Mode
Now, it’s time to showcase the amazing new items from the Build Mode! Let’s start with the haunted manor.
In this scene, we can see a witch skeleton seated on a leather couch, with some of the new various decorations!
Here’s a closer look at some additional decorations! I especially love that entry rug and the cat wall decor!
Here we can get a better view of the items hanging from the ceiling, like the ghost who’s making a return, a witch hat, and floating candles; they're sure to be a hit in any haunted house!
Let’s take a closer look at the graveyard.
We can see the new tombstones and crows added to the game. The crows are purely decorative at the moment.
Take a closer look at the skeleton in the coffin, likely hiding from the HUGE spider on top! We can also spot some (Halloween) spiderwebs in the background.
Two more skeletons, a bunch of pumpkins, and a crow—looks like they’re all having a fantastic time chatting with Myra Mains!

Wow, you went all out with these ideas. You've made some unexpected, cute, and unique choices for decorations. And I feel like it all suits the feeling of this game. Y'all made the zentai/full body suits look as creepy as they do in real life. That spider freaks me out, but I appreciate it not being more detailed. * shivers *

And I would like to point out that, in my opinion, the woman wearing a clown costume looks very, very thin. I think the other Paras are great, but this Lady looks sickly thin.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are my favorite holidays throughout the year! In real life, the last four months of the year go by quickly, but they drag on once the holidays are over.

This is so cool! The cow costume and the pumpkin with the tiny face XD. And the vampire costume looks so cool! I know adding supernaturals is a long way off but this glipse looks amazing. I also just saw the plant growing out of the skull, I love that! I love how this game is always showing me stuff that gives me ideas. It makes me impatient to get my hands on it, lol, but I'm so glad you're all taking the time and care that you need. It's gonna be awesome!

I think holiday related things are a part of gameplay for some people. Even if they don't have holidays in the game players might play out a holiday to reflect what's happening in their own life.

The vibe! The warmth! The atmosphere your game is creating is unique. It makes you stand out in your way. You have your own place; for me, you don't need to be compared or compete to take anyone's stinky throne in the RL Sim genre. You stand out from the rest, for me. I really can't wait to play it. And this here... it's amazing! This holiday(Halloween) is not traditional for where I am coming from, but it has become a part of the narrow modern society in my country's holiday schedule and the kids love it. What you displayed looks great and makes me want to celebrate too LOL. Keep up the good work and stay inspired! <3

Really like these Halloween decor and costumes, now though the vampire teeth are fake, I could still use them to make my Cat alien girl that I use all the time in The Sims 4, though I originally made her in The Sims 2, then 3. If we are able to make our Para's ears pointed, for whatever reason, hint hint, I can really be able to pretend she's a alien Cat person. I mean normally she looks human except for her ears and if you see her pointy teeth and her claws are out, lol! I do hope we can make pointed ears, even if they're more like elf ears then cat, I still will use them. I mean some people do have kinda pointed ears, normally, so it's not that strange to have humans with pointy ears, lol!

I love love love today's post. Great variety of both coatumes and decorations, not to mention they're all also so cute. The mushroom makeup and hat are so stunning and the cow costume is so detailed. Although I am just a tiny bit disappointed by a lack of more classic/stereotypical costumes such as witch hat and rags< Dracula's cape, Mummy, Frankenstein's neck bold and female haor maybe, werewolf mask. But they're not a priority anyway. What's here lookks great!

Thanks for your suggestions! We are sorting items in that way at the moment, having categories such as "Fancy Top", "Casual Top", "Swimswear",... Having a way to be able to add more specific tags from us or from the player (perhaps linked to a search bar?) would be ideal but for now it's how it works and we're workin on improving that!

your comment made me think, have they showed anything about animals / wild life in the world? It's hard to keep track so I've forgotten! It would be nice to have some optional invisible 'boxes' that spawn animals like in the Sims 4, like ducks for a pond, an owl for a tree etc.

I might be misremembering, but I was certain that I had read at some point that we would be able to add our own tags in the catalog ? Someone correct me if I dreamed that. But if that's truly the case, then it means that if you want a specific category (like "costume", "Halloween", "job outfit", etc.), you could simply add your own even if it's not there by default.

"earrings of an alien cow abduction" ...*spit take* "blood bag earrings" What the what ? XD These earrings are everything. Halloween is not my culture (although more and more people have adopted it here in the past decade or so, and of course brands are all too happy to use a new holiday to promote their products), so I don't celebrate it but I do find it very fun how it adds whimsy to Paralives, while still keeping things realistic. That's the exact amount of vampires I'm willing to deal with XD Happy Halloween to those who celebrate ! Don't get haunted by the Paraghost !

With these amazing items I am more andore hoping for a more detailed sorting system in the para maker down the line! I think it would be nice to sort things into "styles", so maybe an item tag would be cool? Items could be tagged with things like "legere" "casual" "fancy" "streetwear" etc.? I think that might be a good idea. Another solution to having the para makers categories be less "clogged" with many items (with some being very specific like these) is to add a "costume" category? Same could be done for job outfits for example! This would blend in with other categories like everyday, sleep, swimwear etc. Also also (sorry for the many suggestions my brain saw this and went "!!!!") I am really hoping to see some cool work outfits for specific jobs and maybe NPC paras. Aka firefighter suit, simple vendor outfit, electrician suit, post officer outfit etc. For parafolk who take everyday jobs like these they could be set as a job outfit. For others like office workers etc. We could just have them wear business casual for example! I think that would be neat as a feature at some point because so many people wear things they usually wouldn't to work lol

Omg the mushroom girl is sooo cute, but my absolute highlight is the vampire girl. Super cool presented, big compliments to the team! I hope there will be more gameplay at some point, because from what I've seen from you so far, nothing will disappoint me. I'm also really excited about Christmas, my absolute favorite time of the year! And OMG the hanging candles give me Hogwarts vibes 😍

Spooky cute! When I saw the mushroom girl I audibly gasped! Also, love the black eyeballs in the vampire para. Will the decorative crows have an idle loop animation, to mimic real crows? Also, lovely to see the jack-o-lanterns make a comeback. They were showcased so long ago, it gave me instant nostalgia to see them again.
