Cait, you will notice that the characters look a lil different, obviously the 4 years timeskip help to that but alsooo, at that moment, the studio that was in charge of the anime changed. Season 1, 2 and 3 was with Wit Studio, and from season 4 and next ones was Mappa studio, that also explain why they also look lil different.

seasonn 4 was such a change if you didnt keep up with the manga att the time I honestly stopped watching after the first episode halfway bc i was so confused of what was going on lmaoooo now having seen season 3 not that long ago it doesnt seem as wild and i understand way better the diferent sides that exist but girllllllll is a lot of infodump in the last half of season 3 and this two episodes, actually excited to see how the show ends, at this point of life i dont remember the spoilers that i knew of season 4 so i 'm going first watch too, its gonna be a lot girl get ready llmaooo

I was also confused about the time skip. When you calculate the amount of years reiner became the armored. They've spent 5 years of hell in that island(Paradis) meaning this was a 4 year time jump since season 3. If he's already at his 9th term here.

Loved the reaction!!!! I recommend watching ep 3,4 and 5 together but if that isn’t possible then do not worry about it at all :) also ep 4 has a end credit scene

Ah yes, the first episode I remember just confused everyone LOL. This last season was also animated by a different studio (MAPPA) so if the art style looks a little different, it's because they wanted to be a little more similar to the manga this time.
