I swear his mom is just worried MAINLY about her reputation and her position in society. Maybe I'm jaded but she comes across as a whiny and self-centered person who ended up pregnant when her mind was still immature and she never was meant to be maternal. When she told him she would finish up her work and follow him, I got the horrible feeling that she never really intended to leave Korea with him and having him overseas would give her the freedom to carry on living her life, especially since Si Eun only has one more year left in school before he becomes an adult anyway. I cannot STAND parents like this. The adults in general be FAILING these children. Jesus.
