That earned her another ring of fire, this one cutting Sparky's webs and blasting into the pool water, sending up a heated waft of steam as it sizzled away in the water. The Joltik shot a web across the pool edges and quickly tight-roped her way over the water, shaking her hips cockily. Flames raced down Calcine's arms as the black liquid that made up Dinah's body pooled together and swung out from Wren's clothes, joined only by a thin tendril of goo. Brandy tried to snap the line, but it flowed around her fingers, a heavy ball forming on the end of the line and bouncing off the ground to come back like a tennis ball on a string. Though with a whole lot more mass.
Calcine already had her body lit up with flames, and there was a sizzle as the black ball slammed into her chest, sending her skidding along the wooden deck of the cruise ship. The edge of her Maid Dress was aflame, burning so bright it was white hot.
"Can you knock her down?" Sparky yelled as she danced around the multicolored flames. "Or just distract her for me!"
"Sure!" Calcine looked about for something to throw, but everything that was a contender was already on multicolored fire. She tried firing off a blast of her Flame Charge, but without a way to get a runup to Ceridwen, it fell way short of her.
"Calcine!" Brandy yelled as Dinah's tentacles pulled her into Wren's grasp. "Jump in the pool!"
Calcine didn't need to be told twice, racing towards the edge and leaping into the pool. The fire around her body went out in a hiss, the pool water frothing from the heat briefly before settling. Pool tiles exploded out of the water, forming a tall spike that knocked the Mismagius spinning. She tried to fly up, but the more tiles were bursting out of the water randomly, sending her flying in zig-zags to dodge them.
"Ceridwen! Don't panic!" Wren called. "Lucky Chant, and I'll get Dinah to come help."
"Actually, you said I could have her," Brandy said as she heard web shots, rock smashing, and a rising singing chant backed by a bopping beat.

Calcine was reshaping the pool tiles into round shields with clay stems to form a kind of leafy vine. Sparky was using the slowly ascending climbing frame to shoot her webs closer and closer at Ceridwen. Her song was doing something strange, though, her cards curling around to cut webs she couldn't see. Her trailing purple robes twirled out of the way of the tile spikes Calcine was firing off from the bottom of the pool.
