I think inking with a more brushy brush and flat color would be good actually. Even though once resize I think it won't that much difference for my previous inking style ahah.

i really need to tweak my mentality when inking to do that too… doing my first contracted comic and i can’t help myself but to redo panels and compositions i realize just then isn’t working :/ or make last minute decisions for black spotting or texture details. would it be alright if i asked for some advice for someone just starting out?

At inking phase everything is final is the decision of the composition . i rarely resize. I figure that out in the sketch phase. And if I see it’s too much work compare to the “budget” I’ll try to find way to cut here and there but it’s apl happening in the rough/sketch phase.

i should give that a try. how do you stop yourself from wanting to shrink the content to fit more in as you ink?

It’s actually easier, It helps me understanding where the volume bleeds out.

ngl your commitment to inking parts of it thats not inside the panel is admirable! ❤️ can’t wait to read this!!
