Gotta say .. absolutely love ya work but you guys totally missed the mark on music here! Some of your critiques of modern hip-hop culture had some merit, but for the most part: the ignorance was quite egregious. Mislav in particular, as a musician should know better then to comment on genres he has no real concept of. I’m also surprised that someone who talk’s about vibe so much wouldn’t appreciate this “elevator music”, seeing as the artist is aiming to create an atmosphere and that is why this music is so often enjoyed. Mislav again, as a lover of production should pay more credit appreciate the timbres and sample flips considering that would probably take him 25 years to emulate. Inconsistent as always. Funnily enough, his indistinct slack-jawed bluesy impression of Travis Scott actually has far far more in common with Forest Hall then anything people are actually listening to. Also: how many people have thrown away their lives or underachieved because they bet everything on being a disciple of rock n roll? I dare say it would be quite alot. I will cut Jordan some slack because his a machine, but it’s becoming clear you’ve (both?) been living in “the bubble” for too long and need some new perspectives. Ali once again, is the underrated star of this pod and he was far too worldly and informed to get drawn into that absolute cesspit of pure assumption. Please stop talking over him: he is the substance that holds this often shapeless podcast together.
