Ali can you please do an African Heartland on Ethiopia? It seems like a really interesting country: from its cultural mythos & nationhood being based on the biblical myth of King Solomon to being the only African country to resist European colonisation through their savvy international relations with fellow Christian Orthodox Russia in the 1800s. They were also an early Christian civilisation, before Rome converted. I'm particularly interested in their modern history: what happened when Emperor Haile Selassie was overthrown in 1974 by the Marxist-Lenonist revolution? Was it a legit revolution? And how did the socialist state collapse? Was there USA interference? I'd love to hear your analysis on it, but if there isn't a good story there then no worries.
