It's such a hipster thing to call an obscure comedian from 90s Australia the greatest comedian we've produced. There's heaps of unique Australian comedians they're just rarely on the panel shows... Jacques Barrett, Bart Freebairn, Danielle Walker, Dan Rath, Peter James, Shad Wicka, Tom Walker, Mel Buttle, Anne Edmonds, and yes also Luke Heggie and Damian Powers.

Could Jordan go into a bit more detail on how exactly John Howard’s free trade deal nuked the Australian entertainment industry. I’m an animator and I’m moving to Vancouver soon to work on a movie so I really feel for people like Michael Cusack having to move to America to get his shows green-lit. It’s also really funny that the highest rated and most watched aus show in years (Bluey) is produced by Disney, an American company.
