1st question: it implies a little more than that, a little less than that. there's no real definitive proof that they died; lola saying so speaks more about how she sees mental illness than what happened to them. someone with bpd did live there. the nature of some of the books implies someone else without bpd could have lived there as well. 2nd question: yes it is
