🕑 Added 2019-03-22 06:55:27 +0000 UTCwhittacker is a type of old lady i've met dozens of times. very rude, seems to live to make other people uncomfortable (ideally as many people as possible, filling the entire room with tension if able), most comments are flippant or insulting. i never really understood what makes people that way. the only way i've made her somewhat endearing to me is by giving her a limit to what she'll say.
anyway. i'm glad to have finished this page on time... i'm really rusty at shading in depth. i was questioning whether this page meant anything and why i was drawing it yesterday, but noticed that whittacker drops a pretty relevant line to her end-game character development on this page.

probably a mix of both! i have a mental note to not draw her pupils smaller than a certain point in the comic unless for emotive effect, but i don't have the acuity to confidently say the size is consistently just slightly larger than, say, on her new reference, or in familial stranger.

Not just with colors TBH with everything, like I have been utilizing the tips you gave in your dynamic poses tutorial quite a lot lately and its fun to be able to pick up on little details of your posing that my eye wasn't trained to notice before...but that still make a big difference in how the image reads, whether or not I was aware of it previously

I feel like I learn things about colors/shading just from looking at your art, especially in reference to the tutorials you have made. like here the way you have added the color of the room/dirty lighting into the highlights , blue/green highlights on brown doesn't sound like something that would work in theory but in practice...it looks perfect for its environment!

its interesting seeing sugar's eyes so dilated, i feel like they were always pretty small in drop-out.... is that something the hospital meds can do to her, or is it just lighting/stylistic differences?
