Turns out wooden keys are challenging to make…

We figured the top could be made out of a flat laser cut wooden piece, and the sides could be made of a thicker laser cut piece that we could glue/attach on.

But we ended up needing to 3D print the stems because 1) laser cutters just aren’t accurate enough when cutting something so thick, and 2) we wanted it to be clear because we decided to make the letters cut out so light can show through!

We actually did several tests to see a) what height we liked, and b) do cut out or engraved letters looked best. But I think we’re gonna go with cut out, and the shortest height. Woo!
