Without being overly TMI the last 2 yrs have sucked - some of which you already know about. Here's the part you didn't know (nor did I until 2 days ago): my meds have been off balance for almost that entire time. π€¦ββοΈ
Why didn't it occur to me to check on this when I suddenly had uncharacteristic negative symptoms and felt "not like myself"? Well, because I'm silly. (I have a good friend who has informed me I'm not allowed to say I'm an idiot anymore. So, i'm silly.)
To be fair, a lot of bad stuff happened at once starting in fall 2022 and it didn't seem unreasonable that I was feeling bad in that context. I just figured "welp this is how it feels to have my whole life turned upside down by a combination of natural disasters and actual evil people. Of course I feel like death warmed over. Migraines? That makes sense too." Etc.
But no, I overlooked something obvious. Something FIXABLE. Now that I finally figured it out, I'm excited about the prospect of feeling "myself" again and (here's the part where it gets good for you!) being able to return to a more normal schedule of making stuff and producing content. I am so excited to catch up on my backlog of costumes that are made but not yet photographed!
Moral of the story: if you're feeling crappy remember to check the basics before you just let yourself suffer for two years.

You hid it well. But that is in your nature, I believe, and maybe the things we are in awe of are the same things that do harm to you: the drive to be perfect, in your projects be they renovating a victorian era home or making some amazing costume with your unparalleled seamstress skills, to the enhancement of your body to proportions that most men only see in their dreams. Regardless, i am very happy to have made the journey with you in books, in bowties (yes, i purchased a Chimera Costume original), your cosplay and renfaire events or you sexy pin-up/cheesecake portraits. The way that the insurance company treated you while you had to rebuild your bookstore and the shotty work that those you paid did in their so-called βrepairsβ of the roof leading to yet another flood of the store, you always moved forward and never showed a hint of vulnerability. So Heidi is human after all. And what a gift that is to allow yourself to be that way. It makes me more proud of you. It makes me more in awe of you. And it makes me love you even more.
