Our new project is really WEIGHING on us…
🕑 Added 2024-07-05 16:49:39 +0000 UTCHey guys! Excited to let y’all know we’re working on a new project… we’re gonna be making SUPER heavy tungsten dice! It’s an idea Evan’s had beebopping around in his brain for a while now, but there were several issues holding us back from starting it. Mainly, we wanted to use tungsten to add weight to the dice (it’s one of the densest/heaviest metals we can get our hands on) but it’s SUPER expensive and really hard to machine, so cutting it into a shape that fit efficiently into a dice mold isn’t really possible.
But then Evan found tungsten powder, which is awesome because a) it’s cheaper, and b) we figured we could mix it with resin 🙂 
But we knew we’d need some expertise on our side so we actually reached out to another YouTuber, Alec from Druid Dice (https://www.youtube.com/@DruidDice) and he not only agreed to making custom molds for us (with a cute Joob face), he’s also had a lot of great tips about suspending stuff in resin!
We came up with a plan with him which was to try a few different ratios of tungsten-to-resin in some smaller molds to figure out the max percentage of tungsten we can do, and then he’ll make an XL D20 mold for us to make the Big Boi in. Very exciting! -Katelyn

Question, have you checked osmium? is 17% denser than tungsten, half the price, not radioactive, and you can buy it. I have always heard that osmium is the densest element
