Nùmenor

Why didn’t Ardan use his Aean’Hane abilities to fight the werewolf. He’s not as defenseless as he seems to think without red rays.

Rolf

Is Aergar supposed to be Ergar here? Perhaps both are correct.

Nathan

Pretty sure he did with Anna, was even in his file which kept coming up.

Nathan

Thanks both, I was thinking it was also taking there rite of passage and the spirit element. As his brother seems to have the features of Ard but his blood is dormant. It just not wholely clear on why that is etc

Alibhai

It's been a while since I read the previous chapters, from what I remember, only pure blooded Matabar maintain their Abilities after they leave the Alcaldes. Ard would normally have lost his abilities after he left the mountains but his spirit intervened in someway to let him keep his abilities. The Matabar masscare and interbreeding between humans made it impossible for full-blooded Matabar to ever be a thing again. Ard is a very unique exception.

CentaureHeart

Ard should hire an accountant just to calculate the damages he inflicts on the city.

Monocle

It seems to me like he is already becoming a legend with his lineage, his skills, his speaker prowess, his mage prowess, and his connections

Xonian

I am honestly interested in the catalyst that pushes him to become a legend. Obviously that won’t be for a long while but it’s cool to try and vision him growing up.

John

Thanks!

Tagmin

I believe it was implied he got with the farmer's daughter by a river or something back in his hometown

Silver Beard

Great chapter; but I have to wonder if he will need to make amends to at least that Goblin family who home he ran through. Succoring children has already saved him an ear; who knows what it might save him from in the future.

Silver Beard

Kinda funny in context that it's taken Ard this long to lose his virginity. I'm wondering though why his crew from the Cloaks never showed up after Ard disrupted the device that was misdirecting them? I fully expected them to come crashing through his spelled door to ruin the moment.

Sadtyre

They had children with humans and those children have a chance to not display a lot of matabar characteristics, just like Ardis brother. That is what is meant by the blood becoming dormant. There were so few matabar left that the surviving few most likely only had half blooded children if at all.

Woodsy

Ard needs a breather, its just non-stop action.

Nathan

I know its been referenced before, but I dont really understand the dormant blood of the matabar. Could someone explain? Also should there not be some full blodded matabar left after ards dads letter and there length of life?
