He was raised all his life to see it as normal, and she knows that he doesn't like that either, and what can he do, he can't do anything spectacular to change things........ Yet.

His mother needs to get over herself. Seriously she literally can't see that him being a Huntsman is a GOOD THING, he'll be spreading the Arc name if he succeeds and becomes known throughout the Kingdoms. Hopefully he learns to live without his mother's approval and "love" like Weiss was able to in the canon verse. I can tell the future interactions are going to be cringe/anger inducing just like this one and the previous chapters.
