i dunno about this show.... i feel like there are cool things in it, but it's just nowhere near as tight as AoT. i think death note, vinland and arcane are all superior stories overall. or at least, the way the story is executed is superior. i think fmab gets too involved with shounen-y drivel for too much of its runtime even though there are interesting ideas

i think the best choice for this point in time is arcane because it would grow their channel the most as s2 is coming out imminently and it's one of the best shows to ever exist. it's also relatively short, so would be a nice palate cleanser after AoT

Vinland Saga is definitely not boring, unless one has the level of maturity of a 12 year-old, and can only be stimulated with constant fighting, explosions and whatnot.

Just go to Death Note. Before watching these much newer animes like JJK or Vinland Saga, give a chance for one of the best anime of all times! You won't regret it, I swear!

If you're looking for a show as packed as AOT on emotion, themes, and action then I would 100% recommend Vinland Saga. It changed the way I look at the world for the better.

I would say Arcane is on the same level as Last of Us, so if you enjoyed that I'm sure you will enjoy Arcane. More if you ever played League but you all seem too happy to be League players lol

Have to say, Arcane is the next greatest animated show (possibly "show" period) after AoT! Oh, and Lia as a fan of great supporting music will absolutely love the tracks in it, it's altogether a masterpiece.

I think Arcane would be a great palette cleanser, especially with season two coming next month. AoT being the anime GOAT that it is, it might help to watch some non-anime before diving into the next one.

what ever y'all do end up watching next just know that none of them will compare to attack on titan IMO. The only anime I watched after aot was vinland and it was really good but still no comparison IMO.

Alice in Borderland - I'd say go for it. After AoT, a lot of shows don't measure up, even many of the ones recommended. For your enjoyment, something far removed might be a good way to go. The original run of Hellsing is short and quite different from AoT. That might be a good one, too.

Neon Genesis Evangelion and Sonny Boy are my next favs after AoT. I'm so surprised no one reacts to Evangelion, given how popular/influential it was. Guess it just fell by the wayside... I highly recommend watching Made in abyss. It has 2 seasons and 3 movies. There's not much of a difference between Season 1 and the two recap movies, but you'll absolutely need to watch the third movie to get all caught up for season 2. It's a little dark ngl.

It's only natural to jump into Vinland Saga after AOT. In my opinion, it matches it's storytelling and character development. It's only 2 seasons deep so far and it's already my 2nd fav anime right below aot. It could potentially surpass AOT depending on the next few seasons :)

Thoughts on the suggestion of doing these polls as acceptance polls (where you choose all the ones you like) as opposed to restricting one vote per person? Voting structure can distort the picture of what reactions most people enjoy by instead favoring the one the most people would make their vote when they only can choose one.

Vinland Saga gets my vote, it released on Prime Video so it didn't get a huge hype but its animated by WIT and honestly has some of the best characters I've seen in anime, moreso than AOT. BUT knowing you guys, you probably want something a little less gritty so maybe Mob Psycho? It's quirky and fun but has some really good life lessons for an anime

Vinland Saga is fantastic imo, but only two seasons with (hopefully) two more on the way in a year or two. Animation is done by WIT and Mappa, so it feels familiar. It also has a few voices from AoT as major characters! That one has my vote, but I’d happily watch reactions to any of them.
