yeah that's clearly why, he thought thorfinn was a monster as the others but remebered him saying about not wanting to live and he screaming in the sleeep every night, Einar is one of my favorites the mangaka just can't create one dull character

In my opinion he tried to choke him, but couldn’t do it as soon as Torfinn started screaming because his nightmare. So he woke him up.
