Gordon Freeman never reloads the gauss cannon in-game so we gotta get creative. Think of it like a revolver style with a chamber in the middle. My point is , the weapon is powered by depleted uranium

The reload for the Tau cannon should be opening the core in the middle and slapping depleted uranium.
