My impression is that the Mossad’s Kurdish network in Iran was decimated in the aftermath of the 12 Day War. The executions for treason were rather less significant than the ones for drug trafficking, which shot up dramatically. This doesn’t contradict the notion that the protest is being boosted and channeled by foreign actors: what we’re seeing bears a strong family resemblance to the Iranian Twitter Revolutions fomented by the Hillary Clinton State Department. Iran seems to be much weaker now than before, but their truce with the Saudis could make all the difference.
