Sometimes our mental image of expectation is higher than the result causing disappointment and feeling unsatisfied. Practicing lowering our hopes and expectations of an idea or even a person is hard but much more satisfying when success is least expected. Perfection and high expectations equal unhappiness. That’s been my experience.
