This month, I'm working on one or two of three concepts: a video on the concept of civilisation, a video on tech criticism, and a video on the concept of mutuality. We'll see how much I'm able to research and execute as the month goes on. This week, my video on nonplaces is dropping and I'm going to be trying YouTube's new A/B testing thumbnail thingy. In other news, Deadpool and Wolverine was an enjoyable yet forgettable flick, as I expected. I recently started a medieval comedy called The Decameron, which has been pretty funny so far. I finished Dune Messiah and I'm gonna be starting Children of Dune once I can get my hands on a copy.
In other other news, estoy tratando de mejorar en español. I started using Kwisiq because I'm tired of Duolingo. It's been pretty fun so far, but I'm open to other resources as well. And if you have any favourite Spanish musicians, let me know, I'm trying to expose myself to as much of the language as possible.

Wow, already such good recs, I can't help but add. Very popular but Ricardo Arjona explores north/south injustice and migration in catchy lyrics ("Mojado"). Ángela Aguilar's version of La Llorona was haunting. Been into ADN Maya, they rap in Maya pero también tienen canciones bilingües. Renata Flores does the same with Quechua and Spanish. Totó la Momposina of Colombia. My queer pop heart still can't help but dance to Miranda's "Don" (+ remix). Excited for the vid, gotta catch up on your previous. Mucha suerte in your studies!

Back when in high-school when I started learning Spanish, our teacher who was from Pamplona introduced us to Manu Chao (and Mano Negra) with the Clandestino song. Ska-p is another famous Spanish band with amazing lyrics. Also, strongly recommend Ketekalles (Pa' fuera y pa' dentro or Esencia is a great start). I know apps are very convenient but the old school methods are worth it imo - reading books, doing some grammar, talking to people and translating lyrics is more than enough. People also learn by switching the language in video games they've played a lot, so it's all familiar except the language Enjoy!
