Patreon Changes
🕑 Added 2016-03-02 19:11:09 +0000 UTC Figured now would be a good time to announce this since we're at the start of a new month. I have, for a while now, been planning a number of changes to my pricing guidelines, payment scheme and milestone goals, which I'm planning to implement shortly after I finish and post the current piece I'm working on.The changes, in brief, are as follows:
Due to my somewhat uneven output since starting this project, I'm changing the payment model from per month to per update. Bundled with the change are a number of alterations to the donation levels and Milestones.
Most donation levels will be reduced and have additional perks granted, and an additional Donation level added:
$1 - No changes
$5 - Reduced to $3, as current + 5% discount on commissions
$10 - Reduced to $5, as current + access to a Google Hangouts page, 10% commission discount, access to sped up painting videos on youtube (if I can remember to do them)
A new $10 tier replacing the old $10 tier: Voting power, proposals for pinups, google hangouts access, you tube access + 20% commission discount, psd/kra files of finished Patreon images.
Milestone Goals will be reduced in price so they can be met more easily:
Goal 1, First Stepper -To 50/update (from 125/month)
Goal 2, Draw Friend - To 150/update (from 500/month)
Goal 3, Comitron - To 300/update (from 1000/month)
I'd also like to do tutorials available to everyone. Let me know you're thoughts on these potential alterations.

I won't be quite so arbitrary, but I probably will require that payment actually have gone through the prior month before extending the discount.

I'd love to talk to you, but I do understand that concern. Maybe just include fine print saying that you can deny that particular reward to anybody?

Hmmm... it's definitely worth keeping in mind. It's definitely potentially abuseable, so if I do include it, I'll have to try and take steps to prevent that.

So far i think the changes are fair but the percentage off comms i dont think would be wise for patreon reward due to some people being untrustworthy imo
