That's a great suggestion! Thank you for sharing!

Joi Wilson

One author I’ve seen gives the first notification and then uses stars or ellipses to indicate skipping to a summary. Ex. A bee returns to the colony w/nectar +10xp in beekeeping *** 101 bees retrieved nectar +1010xp in beekeeping There are lots of ways, but this one holds true to what’s been done while also reducing the repeats. You could have it be a setting he didn’t know about or an editing choice. I think finding out about a setting he missed would be funny, though.

Cássio Ferreira

Will try to do that as I proofread it! Thank you!

Cássio Ferreira

You're 100% right. That's something that needs fixing. Will change it so that the first time that Jack goes into the Breach map he sets up a tent and then he builds a hut as soon as possible. Will try to shorten the notifications. :D

OPTION C: not too much crafting, but yeah--a bit less detail when he's grinding. it stinks and it has to be done, but "Jack made pots and made pots and made pots until he got a new notification," is sometimes sufficient.

Chimera

The reason i wanted the mud hut for wave 30 is you can only get the buff once a day for an hour. I would only build it after a rough "hard" wave 14 or 19 to maximise gains

I really enjoy the crafting, but sometimes the notifications are repetitive. Maybe find a way to combine or shorten them?? I assumed he set up the tent but wondered why he omitted the hut. Also he’s used multiple fires to facilitate crafting and cooking while also extending the ’safe zone’ in the past. Why didn’t he here? I was surprised he didn’t especially after some of his bees died.

Cássio Ferreira

Hi, Chimera! How are you? I'm with you on these two issues. In my opinion Jack's stay at the Breach has a major flaw. He doesn't set up a tent and build a mud hut on arrival. Once I go through the third volume for final re-edits and proofreading I'll fix this. I'll make it so that the first thing he does when he arrives is to set up a tent by the fire, and a few waves in, he also takes the time to build a mud hut. As for the vases, buckle up. There's something really special coming up. Muahahaha

Chimera

I'm here for the crafting and to pester you about there being no vases being made to boost all this crafting. Also Terracoat Mud Hut by wave 30 pretty please lol

Cássio Ferreira

The dinos afterthought made me chuckle.

Cássio Ferreira

Thank you for that comment, MrKing3

Cássio Ferreira

Thank you for your sincere opinion. Will be on the lookout for any dense bits next round of proofreading.

Cássio Ferreira

Thank you for that insight. True. Crafting is a big part of what is helping Jack grow.

Cássio Ferreira

Hi there, Katherine. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. Thank you so much for reading my stories. 😀

Katherine McDaniel

I agree! I’m here for the crafting. It’s probable that the reviewer is just not interested in the work and care that goes into crafts. Like, I don’t care for murder mysteries or even mysteries in general. The work they do to find the culprit just isn’t interesting to me. Embrace your niche and you’ll have an audience for it. I’m really enjoying Jack’s journey to becoming a mature adult through crafting and all of the challenges and woes he faces with it. I really think you’re doing an excellent job! You’ve got a loyal reader out of me!

Paxmorgana

I think the detailed explanation of crafting is very good for the story, while skipping over some of the time it takes to complete things that he's already done before is also probably a good choice. The detailed explanation of crafting and the trial and error shows how Jack is growing as a character. Maybe after his arc of becoming a fully responsible adult is resolved the crafting could fade into the background, but for now I think it should stay.

Brayden

I think sometimes it’s a little too much detail but most of the time I thinks it’s ok

MRKING 3

The realistic/logical crafting makes this novel stand out and makes it interresting in my opinion.

Blank

Literally only following for crafting. And well dinos.

Cássio Ferreira

Hi, Austin! Thank you so much for your comment! I appreciate it. Thank you for reading, too.

Austin Beck

The crafting is why I'm reading. It's kinda hard to find crafting novels of Quality

Cássio Ferreira

Thank you for your input, Richard!

Richard Robinson

I agree that the crafting is very enjoyable!

Cássio Ferreira

Hi, Coleman! Thank you for your feedback!

Cássio Ferreira

Thank you for that input, ReShaddoll! :D

Coleman

Come on, you know we’re here for the purple prose. You may chew the scene a bit but the energy and excitement of the characters doing things is a big part of your writing style. It also makes using things much more impactful. Kind of like the atelier series.

ReShaddoll

Personally the crafting is one of my favorite parts
