It was called the B tank - the blue parking lot with the blue sky. I used to park in there as well. Took me a minute but I finally remembered! I got a little sentimental listening to this episode and reminiscing about the backlot and little secret places on the lot. Soooo long ago but had so much fun, especially sneaking onto the sets (shhhh!).

Also, my missing scene would be something with Naomi Wildman. Like, what was this planet doing with kids? If it was a labor shortage, did they have child labor? It's probably too depressing for VOY to have dealt with, but I really wonder what was going on with Naomi when everyone was down on the planet. (It probably would have completely changed the nature of the episode and of course made it so long it would've needed a third part, but, jeez, poor Naomi...what happened to her during this episode???)

I used to work in the Roddenberry building while y'all were filming the last 2 years. I had no idea you filmed this ep in those spaces. How fun! I've enjoyed the podcast and only just discovered it a few weeks ago. It's been great listening and then rewatching some of the eps.

I love the "fun fact" that the scenes on the planet were filmed in the depths of the Paramount studio. What a cool idea, to film in the HVAC areas and fire escapes and the like. It's just brilliant. I wonder if Robbie's rating will be as high for part 2. The doc and Harry at odds with each other is a bit ridiculous, IMHO, but these episodes are also some of my favorites as well. I too was thinking about the fact that Harry never gets to go on the away missions, etc. I think what stands out is that in the episodes where almost everyone gets to go to a planet (or the holodeck), Harry is almost always the one left on the ship (Future's End, Killing Game, this one). The one exception I can think of is Basics, where Tom is the one left in space while everyone else is stuck on the planet. It's weird, you'd think that the writers would have left someone else on the ship sometimes, but I guess they just wanted to prove how awesome Harry is that he can run the ship all on his own. (And yes, I know he's not always on his own but you get my point.) (Also, his "go to hell" to the Hirogen in Killing Game was one of his crowning moments of awesome.)
