I really appreciate the ratings from both GW and RDM. I think it is really ok to measure the story against what we currently see as socialy appropriate when rewatching these episodes. Part of a rewatch is about what hold up over time. Given they are evaluating their own work is especially ok to be critical as well as celebrate the wonderful parts of Voyager. I tend to be very in line with RDM when rating but the average rating shows you guys are right in line most of the time. Keep the opinions coming. I really enjoy the two of you interacting together an I often laugh out loud while watching The Deltas Flyers.

in the behind-the-scenes video, we go from the actual shooting location to the parking lot and then to the conference room... in the conference room pretty much exactly at the corner of the square of tables and in front of the TV set that is standing in the corner of the room... Is that LeVar ???

As soon as the drone or pan flute starts, I cringe. So reductive! But as an indigenous people’s story this was better than most. Traffic school was the best part. And I love how everyone gives Tom a hard time but as soon as they need him it’s ’Tom! Hero mode activate!’ ... and he 1) evades enemy fire, 2) brings back the expedition, 3) traps the team so they behave, 4) devises a workaround to eliminate the technology, and 5) escapes before the barrier closes. And then it’ll be back to everyone spending the next week taking the mickey out of him because of traffic school. He’s like the Rodney Dangerfield of Voyager, until they need him to save the ship. Excellent background footage on the podcast and I like the language lesson too.

They're always testing stuff in Engineering. Its probably just so they don't need to use another set or build a new one. Soooo many times we saw both in TNG and Voyager them tinkering with some new dangerous thing right next to the warp core! Crazy, lol

How is it that the shuttle sensors did not detect this "bubble" protecting part of the planet? Curious how Star Fleet Tech always fails just so we can get a story to tell. RDM is correct. The shuttle debris should have been in the cargo bay as established many times throughout TNG and other shows. LOL that GW refers to Seven getting her brains banged out by Holotay as a "social lesson". Voyager got back all the pieces of the shuttle but what about the tricorder that Seven dropped down the hole? Do you think that it was found later by the Ventu who then used it advance faster than they should have? Behind the scenes was awesome. Really wish we had seen more of this type of stuff.

so i've looked all over the net about the photon torpedo count. to start it's worth noting voyager was a prototype intrepid class ship that carried type 6 photon torpedo's. it's also worth pointing out it was the first ship to carry type 6 torpedo's. we start with 2 being fired in caretaker to destroy the array then in the episode Chakotay say's they only have 38 photon torpedo's and janeway say's they can't make more so we can assume voyager started with 40. according to show note's the original idea was to keep track of how many they used and when they ran out they would improvise but that seemed to get ignored after series 4 during the time before they were rather consistent with the numbers however by the time of scorpion part 2 where if you are keeping count voyager should be on 18. however when the borg scanned them they said voyager had 32 with class 6 warheads (it's not clear if there's a difference between type 6 and class 6 or if there both the same thing) creating numeral inconsistency. once all counted and excluding any used during the year of hell as that time line was erased the conservative count as to the number that was fired was 93. according to the voyager technical manual that was given to the writer's the reason they couldn't make new one's was because photon torpedo's needed planetary raw material's so this would suggest they needed a particular planetary environment for the materials. however hypothetically that would mean it's not completely impossible for voyager to make new ones and also voyager did also use class 9 and class 10 torpedo's, given voyager was the first to use type 6 (again assuming type and class is the same thing) then we can assume these 2 new classes where made on voyager with out starfleet (and there where classes 7 and 8 as well) and given these classes where stated after or during scorpion part 2 this would explain having 32 class 6 (but apparently the borg didn't detect the other classes)(most of what i've said is my personal fan theory, it could just be they always had class 9 and 10 on voyager and just didn't use them till scorpion part 2). however i think we all know how this is going to be solved...........................we find out the state of star trek prodigy, robbie has to direct at least 1 episode of any new series and he must demand the writer's write a line where either admiral janeway or hologram janeway actually explains how they had so many photon torpedo's.

They didn't lobby for C7, just asked if they were supposed to be playing it given Human Error and then stranded together on a planet. It's a natural thing to ask. I think C7 was a last minute thing for endgame.

The show-off/stunt flying that gets Tom back to "traffic school" sounds like the same sort of stunt "Red Squadron" pulls at the Academy in "First Duty", illegal maneuvers that result in the death of a classmate.

Do we need to tell Garrett and Robbie that you can reorientate the body upon beam out so you don’t have such a violet remetrialisation process. Seems like a new trek thing where people are violently beamed out of falling etc. which means older transporters as they mostly prequels to Voyager
