The recap of that scene in the Mess Hall between Neelix and Captain Janeway brought me to tears. What a treat, Mr. Philips!

SnazzyO

Loved the episode. I wish we had trimmed a few things back for a 30-second montage and voice over showing them ‘establishing’ Neelix in the role of Ambassador, giving him a backup shuttle, comm center etc…. Implying an extra 2-weeks to get him settled would have been sweet. But yes, this episode shows why the podcast has become beloved. Well done all.

I love this show because of the added context Robbie and Garrett provide, deepening the recorded history of may favorite of the second-wave series. But, I also love this show because of the moments like the one where Ethan gets emotional over the appreciation of his work. This series wasn't celebrated enough the first time around.

Jen V

I wondered the same, or maybe it was a technical problem with his video. Hope he's doing well!

Fantastic podcast episode and voyager episode! Both are very, very emotional. Thank you guys, it was great to have Ethan on this episode!

Sarah Ettritch

Oh man, Ethan's story about the anchorman and how everyone needs a pat on the back hit me where it counts. Really loved this episode (and podcast).

ST Fan CB

Great having Ethan on but why audio only and no video? Was Ethan not well during the taping?

Andrew Duncan

I too have suffered the Duncan Donuts fate

Samantha

all they needed really was just a moment to linger between naomi and neelix in that parting scene. instead she's kind of incidental.

Dawn Smith

I always wondered where Samantha Wildman was.

George Kessler

Great episode guys, I just wanted to point out that Bechtel test was created as a joke and was not meant to actually be a test for representation or inclusion. Having said that Voyager did do a great job showing women can be in positions of leadership and be no better or worse than a man.

Jocelyn

Great podcast! I cried during the episode and during the interview 😭 so sad to see Neelix go 🖖

shag840

Omg thanks for bringing me to tears. I could actually feel the love and bond you real friends have for each other and you know us fans love that

Christopher Collins

We see Worf leave the ship in the same way on TNG season 4 season finale. But the Neelix good bye was different and has a different meaning because we knew it was the end for his character.

Cheryl Palay

One of my favorite episodes! BTW, I was a Random Flight member in the day! So they are not the only ones left! :-)

Janet K Harlow

I can't count how many times I teared up listening to this episode of the podcast.

Karen

Every time I watch this episode, the beginning where they're eating pierogi kills me! Pierogi are not finger foods!

James Morrow

I agree with Robbie-this was the beginning of the long goodbye. Yet at the same time it reminded me of the best aspect of the show-the characters and how they connected with each other, and therefore the audience. A science fiction show not about the science, but about people we cared about. 22 years later we still care about them as if they were real because they’ve always felt real. And to hear three of them-men, no less-tell each other they love one another and get legitimately choked up means the world. Thank you, fellas-and well done with the editing, Mrs. Moo. :-)
