How does Odo blow on dice? How does he speak? He said in one episode that he doesn't eat because he doesn't have a stomach. So does he create lungs and vocal chords when he shapeshifts into human form? Seems farfetched to me, given that he can't make a face properly.

I always thought that the painfully bright room on the Wadi ship was the Wadi version of the holodeck. It was the physical place where the virtual world of the game existed. That's why when Odo tried to enter the "game" outside of the bounds of the game's rules, he was transported immediately to the playing area, and why Fallow gave him that knowing look.

I posted first that this was a ripoff of the movie The Cube because there are some scenes that are identical in that movie, like the end Bashir scene but I just noticed the dates and actually this episode predates the movie so I deleted it and posted this. I wonder if they ripped off the plot of the movie from this episode. 🤯.

It was very clear to me way back when the pilot first aired, that through the reactions of the players, that a yell of "dabo" was clearly someone winning. Not sure how anyone can arrive at any other conclusion or why it would take so long to figure it out. Judging by the way Nog treats his date in a future episode when on a double date with Jake, the supposition that Nog would not get anything right about relationships including sex is right on the money. I forgot to pack my dress uniform excuse is crap as we all know that the uniforms are replicated and he can simply request one at any replicator. Some ones ears must need cleaning. Sisko clearly says Nog with a very hard G and NOT Nock. A lot of weird over acting on the part of Bashir and Kira in the scene where they all meet up for the first time in the game. I rate this episode as crap and not for any of the reasons in the podcast or listed in the comments section. The reason it is crap is because everyone seems to have ignored the fact that the show implies that it was ok to completely and utterly terrorize four innocent individuals for no reason other than to teach a lesson to someone else who cheated. WTF is that all about? Kirk, Picard and Janeway would not have turned a blind eye towards this but Sisko seems to turn all his anger on Quark for when he finds out what he did. Yes Quark is a D-bag for tying to cheat them but why not put Quark in the game to teach a lesson instead of 4 other people who had nothing to do with the situation? Crap. According the Star Trek: Enterprise, Velcro (TM) was given to humans in trade for money by one of T'Pol's ancestors after being trapped on Earth.

How can you call this the worst episode when Meridian is right there? I’m glad Robbie and Garrett enjoyed the episode. It is really a good Quark episode. Armin saved it.

I've always had a soft spot for this episode, it's just so silly and fun, and Sid's reactions in particular always crack me up. Seeing Robbie do the Allamaraine dance and mimic those Bashir reactions was hilarious! I'm glad you guys had fun with it.

People complain about this episode but I love it. Ok the danger never feels real and the riddles seem WAY too easy, but then they explain to Quark that it's a kids game. Which I love because it implies that as tough of a time as our very Intelligent crew had making it through.. they're about as smart as kids of this other species. And that a super intelligent species just likes to... Have fun. Plus Quark begging was great

I actually love the begging scene. Admin is too self critical here. Quark isn’t totally starlet loving. This is the tip. He still is Ferengi and this scene is actually playing both sides of the coin at the same time. Which is interesting. He thinks he’s won some Slack and they just move the choice to the computer. Bashing in The Waiting Room. lol.

I've seen this episode many times and I didn't understand why Bashir was standing up and sleep-screaming until this last watch. After "waking up", Bashir mentioned something about not being able to wake himself up. I THINK he was doing it on purpose to wake himself up from a dream. Like when you get scared in a dream and jolt awake. I can't remember how he worded it, but I believe sure he was trying to scare himself awake. Oh also, this isn't my favorite episode but I don't dislike it. It cool how there seemed to be such high stakes throughout, only to find out it literally WAS just a game. Star Trek seeks out new life and new civilizations after all ... This one just happened to be a planet of gamers lol. I would give it a 6.5 personally

Bashir was on the Enterprise. One of the more interesting bits of trivia is that it was going to be Dax who appeared in TNGs Birthright but it was changed to Bashir hence why he disappears fairly quickly

"Move Along Home" is a weird episode and not really my favorite - I only watch it for Quark's scenes. I was really surprised how Armin actually felt about the scene where Quark breaks down, tearfully begging that he will never cheat again. I thought Armin did an excellent, "extraordinaire" job in this scene, and I was emotionally moved by Quark's pleas. I felt he really did achieve instilling a heart into Quark - something that made Quark a very sympathetic and dynamic character in later seasons of DS9.
