Yule Tide

Is she for them or against them?

Unpopular opinion: Nog is the loser in this episode. While they never explain where he gets 5 bars from, my interpretation is that this is a child fantasizing about what he believes to be a large sum of money, where in the adult world, it wouldn't be. My daughter has some friends, for example, who think that $100 is so much money it would take them months to spend it, but they go into one store at the mall and it's gone. Ultimately, Nog's fixation on the 5 bars distracts him from the real value of what he has. Surely the last holdout over a plot of land has room to negotiate. I have always view this episode with the assumption that Nog sells the land to Quark for the 5 bars. Then Quark turns around and negotiates a much better deal, pocketing the money for himself because exploitation begins at home and greed is eternal. Quark is happy with Nog, not because he is proud of his nephew for his business sense, but because he can make money off him with very little effort on his part.

Its actually named in the season 3 episode 'Improbable Cause', by Garak, but 'In the Pale Moonlight' of season 6 shows and names it.

There was a self sealing stembolt in episode 1 of season 5 again. Enterprise also mentions self sealing stembolts.

Late to the party because I've been away on vacation but I can't believe nobody noted the reference to self-sealing stem bolts on Star Trek: Discovery. 😏

Knew Robbie would love this one on the basis of his first few comments about the great direction right at the beginning (of the podcast). I think Terry put her finger on that too!

Perhaps the windows are made of transparent aluminum? Also just wanted to reiterate that I would love to attend The Delta Flyers summer camp :)

The cottage was built right in front of planet hell, the rocks behind are the much used cave set

Those "liquid vials" are called Optolithic Datarods. You'll see more of them as the series goes on. They will be given a name in a season six episode.

Richard Knijnenburg

Maybe stick the merch promos at the end.
