I also wanted to say that as an audience member, I felt like the scene with his passed wife in the beginning of the episode was to lay or reminding the viewer of the groundwork that Sisko is still grieving and missing his wife so he was vulnerable to suggestion, especially from a beautiful and enticing woman. Btw, both Avery and Salli did a fantastic job. Btw, btw, I wish Avery Brooks were in more movies, tv, etc.

Minor correction: Tom Paris actually never says "I love you" in VOY, not to B'Elanna nor anyone else. He says other mushy stuff (including "mushy stuff") but never the actual words "I love you." I believe it's a bone of contention among us PT shippers.

I also thought I was going to get one but I guess not as I can't afford captain level 😞 Happy birthday @CarynAngelique
Garrett and Robbie
Birthday shoutouts start at the Captain level. We announced the Birthday shoutouts when we announced the changes to benefits when starting DS9, that post was available for all members to view here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/ds9-new-tiers-92946269 You can also see all tiers and what they include on our membership page here: https://www.patreon.com/thedeltaflyers/membership

At what level do you get a birthday greeting? I thought I was going to get one, and now I'm sad 😢
Ria
That would have been such a great concept to explore - the two of them being drawn together because of their shared grief and loneliness. If only the episode had leaned into that angle more clearly it would have been a much better story!!
Bonita Fitzmaurice
Where can it be watched?
Charlotte Marks
It's probably just me, but I thought the reason why Fenna appeared to Sisko was because she was psychicly responding to his sorrow and loneliness.
Patrick Cucuta
As somebody from the Bronx, New York. It made me extremely happy just to hear you say the Bronx like four times. lol
Jess Hrudey
I’m bummed they didn’t talk about Gargoyles 😭
Ines S.
Agreed! It is boring. I am sure people who have their birthdays are happy to hear them and I wish them all the best but it is just boring to listen to. 🙈 I haven’t listened the podcast for a while, only heard first two or three episodes of the second season. Didn’t know bday wishes were a new thing.
ChrisB
Honestly, this rating thing is weird.

Hi. That TV show with Jeri Ryan is Dark Winds set on the Navajo reservation in the 70s and based on the Tony Hillerman novels. It's so good!!
Andre Perry
It warms the heart of my cockles…strike that reverse it thank you. To know that Trek alums keep their relationships even across shows!
Jorge Quesada
Maybe Terri can watch episodes we vote on (good and bad) of voyager. I feel like that would be a cool bonus material thing.
Gillian Rosheuvel
I like the episode "Second Sight." I don't think it was about Sisko falling in love, and that's not how I read it. I saw it more as his attraction to Fenna opening him up to the possibility of finding love again, which is something he probably hadn't considered up to that point.
Richard Knijnenburg
Sour grapes I guess, but I really dislike the birthday wishes at the start. Easily fixed with fast forward I guess.
Sarah Kridenoff
When they started talking about the guest star Richard Kiley, it sparked a memory I didn't know I had. He's the tour narrator mentioned by Hammond in Jurassic Park.
Jeff Kloosterman
Definitely! I read it too!
ChrisB
Fantastic performance by Richard Kiley…I love him too❤️
Bonita Fitzmaurice
My Side of the Mountain is the book Garrett was talking about I think!
