Borgafied changelings were the plot of Picard S3 weren’t they?

Founders of the dominion most likely

I am not a fan of the ratings. I think they parse out too many things and I’m just not a fan of it. They can do whatever they do, but I do not enjoy the ratings and they started talking about ratings at the top of the podcast so it kind of triggered me lol. Thank you for asking.

Ratings Robbie: 8.1. He says S3e2 is a strong episode and caps off a three-episode "rebirth" of DS9 as a series. Terry: 8.3. Garrett: 9.1. Garrett says with excitment that 5hue (or the full 3-episode arc) is "a turning point" for him. He now genuinely looks forward to the rest of DS9 as a series. (It sounds like Garrett is not judging the episode on it's own merits but more like praising the momentum and change-over to an arc that can last acrosss seasons. And he praises director Jonathan Frakes.) Patreon patrons/fans: 7.8. Robbie got closest to the fans this time. Garrett was way off (but see the comment above). 1:16:00 -- 1:19:25

Why?
Elisabeth Westner
Yes, definitely. Right down to his not enjoying large crowds, parties, etc. Of course, I don't know if we've seen that about him yet in the series.
Elisabeth Westner
Oh wow, that would have been a neat VOY episode.

About the changeling names: When DS9 first aired, the Trek forums on AOL nicknamed Salome Jens' Female Changeling "Suzy Goo". (It was a play on Suzy Q's, which used to be a hostess snack cake. There was also this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzie_Q_(dance_move)#:~:text=In%20line%20dances%20this%20step,Q%20by%20Lil%20Hardin%20Armstrong.)

So the Founders sent 100 of their kind out across the galaxy, and none but Odo have returned. Surely some of them were in the Delta Quadrant at the same time as Voyager?
Marcy Beard
I agree - the Founders didn't exactly lose. They gained a bunch of valuable intel. So letting everyone go was probably not that big a deal to them.
Theo Adams
I have watched this episode a couple of times in the past, but only just realised while listening to this podcast, that the Founders were probably specifically using the "dream" scenario to test how the Federation would react to people in charge making strange decisions (i.e. if they were secretly replaced by changelings). The Federation crew members were immediately suspicious and started to fight back against it, suggesting maybe that they would not be good targets for an infiltration.

100% the “Experiencing Humanity” character is written and acted as Odo!
Holden Schlage
Robbie’s right Changelings are basically all one, so that’s why there’s no names. Odo only has a name cause of Dr. Mora.

Happy birthday Terry Ferrell (November 19, 196x). 👍🌎

Could it have been purposely dark, due to the kind of quasi sinister foreboding foreshadowing?
sgtb99
Why do you think they are called, “The Founders”?
sgtb99
Odo is the Spock/Data/Doctor character

Garak was never in the Cardassian military.
