In fairness to Jack, he wasn’t trying to get thrown out. That’s just the way he is.

Jack was so keen on going there, yet so negative about culture! . Not exactly consistent. She'll have to go into an immersive course, learn one of the most bewildering languages : Diné bizaad . I am not worried about learning the to be a girl part. There will be a huge pressure to conform to expectations.

actually the bbq used to happen when i was much younger it is a shame they they stopped doing it was fun . as for the dancing i also used to preform as a dancer all over and is a great amount of our heritage .as it being Navaho that is because i am Navaho and is the largest of the first nations as far as our location i live right outside of window rock. we using the world i have intimate knowledge of ..we chose to not use a real resort so not to have issues with said resort .

yes A federal law prohibits the sale of alcohol on reservation land, but tribal councils can override this ban. Tribal distilleries Some tribes have found ways to work around the ban on distilling alcohol on tribal lands by placing their distilleries on private lands inside a reservation and this is fiction and Alcohol is permitted in some casinos and resorts on Native American reservations, but the rules vary by tribe and reservation:

as a matter of fact there are 10 places that sell alcohol in window rock and 5 restraints that sell it also

Julia Miller

Jack did the ol’ FAFO. I hope she enjoys her new life as a Navajo teen girl. And I think her condition may be permanent. Will the tribe adopt her or kick her out?

David Banoff

Aside from the protagonist being a colossal jerk and the resort being entirely fictitious, alcohol is forbidden on the Navajo Reservation. Visitors can bring their own, but should not consume it in public, and it certainly would not be served anywhere in the reservation. My sister spent the summer of 1973 as legal advisor to The Navajo Nation Police (formerly known as the Navajo Tribal Police) and lived in the New Mexico part of Window Rock, though the police department is in Arizona.

Tenacious

Yeah! Jack is a real jerk and asshole. Why bother to go over there to behave like that? Poor Sheila, just dump him.

Dallas Eden

The build up to this reminded me a lot of Tommy, the Trials and Tribulations of a Girl. I was almost expecting them to end up at her aunt and uncle’s resort, lol.
