Yes... that is happening !
I can finally announce officially the biggest project I’m working on... The Sims 4 Open Worlds Mod (no release date yet).
TS4 Open Worlds Project began when I started creating the Medieval Island mod. I discovered some really interesting stuff in the game’s files, and learning new things about modding and coding everyday.
! ATTENTION ! This mod won’t bring The Sims 3 kind of Open Worlds ...
This mod will bring houses, shops, gyms, theatres, parks, and many other builds to existing (and/or new) worlds, that you’ll be able to visit without any loading screen. They will be off lot, (so not editable with build/buy mode, but editable with @TwistedMexi’s T.O.O.L Mod.
It will be possible to assign open houses to your neighboors, and visit them, BUT they will be NPCs. Any other building will be fully functional (gym, shop, etc.) The goal of this mod is to bring life into this game, by avoiding loading screens.
Because the game won't ever allow real open worlds (they are divided in neighborhoods) this will feel more like open neighborhoods. There will be a huge open neighborhood with activities and lots of NPCs, the only loading screen you'll have is between special lots.
