Don't act like some caveman or Dickensian orphan isn't going to just scarf down some random sausage they find on the ground. It works the same way as those rabies vaccines they airdrop for raccoons.

The solution is sausage casings! Everybody's always like "don't ask what's in a hot dog" or "never ask how the sausage is made" until they need a natural, edible, water tight tube to put stuff in. Sure, less transformative hijinks but sausages are inherently funny, especially medicinal sausages from the future! What's that? The cure may itself not be organic? Send the sausages anyway, it's comedy gold, people.
