Give the note to Greed (any), it won't lose it ever! Sure, it'd refuse to ever give it back for anyone else to read it again, conveniently allowing it to lie and inflate the number of gems owed each time asked but it'd absolutely still have the note. Or it could lie about that too but if you can't trust a Greed about financial matters, what can you trust?
