I'm a little confused about the dimentions of the stretchers. If I center my mortices then I have an overhange on one side of the leg. If my stock is 1.5 by 1 then the math seems to work? I watched both video's online an this step isn't filmed. Appreciate the help!

Really enjoying this project. It's my first bench ever, and starting with warped pressure treated pine and no flat work surfaces for the project, I'm really learning the why and how of reference faces, marking, chisel technique, and especially plane and saw choice. Thank you Rex!
