Your reaction to Harmony being pushed down the stairs was amazing ๐Ÿ˜‚ I've been binging your reactions from Ep1 and I'm loving them, fellow vegan and lifelong Buffy fan here ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜Š I'm not that observant but since I now rewatch Buffy for the 100th time I now also focus a lot of the side characters and extras so I love that you do too, especially from my perspective knowing if either they'll never be seen again or become a major character it's fun seeing your responses both ways ๐Ÿ˜‚ โœจ Super excited for Season 2, when I was young my favourite season was 6, but lately I'm thinking 2 is my favourite, I hope you enjoyed it and looking forward to finding out. Peace from Australia โœŒ๏ธ

The conversation between Buffy and Cordelia where Cordelia admits that she feels lonely surrounded by all her friends is probably one of my all time fav Cordelia scenes. Just wonderful and sad.

what a poltergeist is in Harry Potter only apply to the Garry Potter world. many other would call a poltergeist a ghost Etymology. The word poltergeist comes from the German language words poltern ("to make sound" and "to rumble") and Geist ("ghost" and "spirit"), and the term itself translates as "noisy ghost", "rumble-ghost" or a "loud spirit".

got to love the Bloodsport reference when Buffy shuts her eyes to fight Marcie. The are some great jokes in this episode Xander's Vampire bat joke always makes me laugh

Fun bit of trivia: In the end scene, the text of the chapter "Infiltration and Assassination" is the lyrics for The Beatles "Happiness Is a Warm Gun".

I love the scene with Giles and Angel! :D

You said, "Cut to the chase, Cordelia!" and I laughed out loud just because the character's name is, of course, Cordelia Chase... and I don't even think you realized what you'd done. So good!

As soon as I heard the title of this one, I realised which episode was and it hits me hard, because it's such a tragic and honestly, relatable, origin story. Have to wonder about her family, though... Was she an orphan?

Tommy Ross

I would argue (when it comes to Marcie being self-involved as well) that it's very difficult to care about other people when other people never noticed you were there. Cordelia, however, has always been noticed by everyone, and yet she cares about none of them unless it's in private.

This is a great analysis! I never thought of it that way.

Miffed isn't commonly used in America. Willow using it would make her seem more quirky and intelligent. It plays into that stereotype that being more English is being more sophisticated/smart (like Giles), but also, using words common to countries other than her own would make it clear that she's routinely searching for new information in the wide world, not just what's convenient for her to learn where she is.

I didn't even think about that within the episode๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜… Really goes to show how well the show is at immersing you in what's happening.

buffy kicked her own ass so well near the end

I give this episode an 8, and Cordelia is definitely my favorite in this one. She's completely herself but also shows other sides that people don't expect.
