There's a YouTube video by someone called sideways about the Shrek soundtrack, if you're interested it's worth checking out in your free time (not worth a video tbh), it makes some great points in the choices of songs, that kind of make the soundtrack feel genius, but I can't remember if it talks about the 2nd Shrek movie in it or if that is a separate video so if you do choose to check it out, maybe check it out after you have watched the 2nd Shrek movie if you plan on watching it (honestly, the second movie is worth watching)

Love it, Sherk is so good. One of those that can always be enjoyed by kids and adults alike because of the humour and the all the double entendre. Shrek 2 is equally, if not more amazing you should definitely check that one out at some point too.

So, you watch Shrek 1 and 2. Then you watch Puss In Boots 1 and 2. shrek 3 4 5 idk how far they go can come in the next 12 months :P Puss In Boots 1 and 2 are EPIC and you'll love them. you have to see Shrek 2 for the introduction tho before the PnB movies. My video on Peacock streaming had a 30 second Universal intro prior to the start of your video. Its happened with many videos veggie. can you do the screen for maybe 15-30 seconds before you drop it off. just fiddled with the video and my tv for 5 minutes trying to sync up :P

About the age rating: It was different times... Personally I believe I would say Shrek 2 is my favorite, but honestly all of them are great, imho! Imho, Shrek is just a master example of how to take known things and do something new with it. Which is why i prolly almost like the sequels more. The first established the main cast, and we get to see more of the other characters in the following movie, which is really fun! And yes puss in boots appears in a sequel About the soundtrack: Hell yea, I bought the OST back in the days and would listen to it for yeaaars. Also playing all the extra stuff on the DVD, and dancing to the extra song, so hype, so fun, good times. I am glad you enjoyed it, looking forward to the sequel reactions! <3 Did you actually expect it to be somewhat of a parody/inverting of classic fairy tales? PS: fav character is def. Dragon. close second the Ginger bread (from movie 1 cast only)

Great reaction veggie! I should’ve known you’d cry at the hallelujah scene 😂 I really hope you’ll watch the second movie because if you thought this was good then you won’t know what hit you with the second! A rare instance where the sequel is better than the first movie, in my opinion. Oh and the 3 little pigs have German accents not French because their story is originally German (grimms brothers fairy tales).

Only one sad end in this movie - the mamabear of Goldilock story has been killed. her skin lay in front of Lord Farquaads bed. Yep, that´s her because she has the same purple bow tie still on her head Dark!

And a line i just now figured out - Ginger Bread Man saying: ´God bless us, everyone!´Clearly referencing Tiny tim from A Christmas Carol. Even has the crutch as well. During the torture scene the back and forth is literally the nursery rhyme of the Muffin Man who lives on Drury Lane

You mixed up certain Disney movies and likely missed countless references for not seeing others. Two big one: Fiona singing to the bird - Sleeping Beauty Fiona´s True love transformation with shining hands and feet until collapsing on the ground is straight up from Beauty and the Beast Second movie will have ten times the references, not just Disney franchise but even social media. Generally regarded as the best one because of having more ¨layers¨.

For me, he will always be the "FOR FREE??!?!" guy from Santa Klaus The Movie! XD But he is such a joy of an actor! I am delighted he was in this!!

It´s HILARIOUS that John Lithgow off all people voices Lord Farquaad. Him being 6′ 4″ tall and Farquaad 4′ 6″ lol . Then again the guy often plays either strict, stern or pompeous characters like the minister in Footloose and especially the lead in sitcom 3rd Rock from The Sun.

Loved the reaction Veggie! You're right, Hallelujah is an amazing song and for many people Shrek was their introduction to it. I bet if you play that song to someone, every second person who knows it will call it "The Shrek Song" :D
